Darcy climbs off the bed and goes to collect the now very dull crystals from Akiva's back. DARCY: "Eugh, this is... heavy. How did you last that long? I'm honestly shocked you were only partially corrupted." Akiva rests her chin on her hands cutely. AKIVA: "I'm just special~" DARCY [unimpressed]: "You're just LUCKY, is what you are." Darcy places the crystals in a copper container filled with salt to cleanse them, and closes the ornate lid. She turns to Akiva again. DARCY: "You can stay over, if you want to. I've warded the whole apartment. Bahram can't get in, for now."
