Everything is Bad and Nothing is Good
Comic transcript
Akiva stands against the massive brick wall, looking disinterested. AKIVA: "No, I'm not okay! Have you ever spent two days at a police station?" ELI: "Obviously not." AKIVA: "Good, 'cause you're too soft to survive behind bars. You'd start a prison knitting club, or something... Take me home, I'm at the police station on State Street." ELI: "I can't. Dad told me not to." Akiva ducks her head and tenses her hands, growling in frustration. ELI: "He said he doesn't want you home for a while and we all need to be tougher on you. Kiva, he's pissed. You dropped out of college and you don't have a job. So this was kind of the last straw." AKIVA: "That's it? All of you are just gonna leave me here? I'm not even guilty!" She clenches her fist. The sun is setting beyond a tower in the distance. ELI: "No, no- Look, I'll come get you and we'll figure it out. He'll get over it. He thinks pushing you out of the nest will force you to learn how to fly. But for now you should stay at my place-" AKIVA: "No, I really don't want that." Eli frowns, the tiny words 'Oh no' above his head.
