Surrounded by stars, Azrael lifts his veil. Through the portal he sees the baby's mother, holding her, and the baby's father- the man from the waiting room. They are smiling, relieved. The baby is awake. She looks back at Azrael through the portal, as if really seeing him. Azrael sees her name: Akiva Stein. His eyes are visible through the mask, now: bright green, with slits for pupils.
