Act 2 Interlude Page 6

Isaac says Stop That

Comic transcript

Eden curls in on himself, avoiding eye contact. EDEN: "Isaac, I'm as good as dead. First everything was complicated with the Council- They didn't want more people involved- And I- I couldn't bear you seeing me like this. Seeing me die all over again. I'm a walking corpse. It would have hurt less if you had thought I was gone. Then at least you could move on with your life." ISAAC: "God, that's so stupid! I don't believe you!" He steps right up to Eden. ISAAC: "Neither do you. Know why?" He points out the window. ISAAC: "Because every night for three years, you cast a protection ward on me. I'm not dense, Eden, I could feel it. I would know the feeling of your energy anywhere. At first I thought i was just going mad or something. But over time it built up, and when I closed my eyes... I could see the blue light coming towards me." He closes his eyes and remembers the feeling of each protection ward, the bright blue, glimmering glow of Eden's energy covering and shielding him.
